Mega Roulette vs Mega Roulette 3000: Payouts and RTP
These two Pragmatic Play titles share a single-zero wheel and straight-up multipliers, but their ordinary number payouts differ. The original pays 29:1; the 3000 version pays 19:1. Check which title you are playing before calculating a return or comparing its RTP.

Pragmatic Play describes the original’s selection and range on its Mega Roulette product page. Its Mega Roulette 3000 page confirms the higher maximum, up to eight selected numbers and the 97.50% RTP headline.
The two titles therefore need separate payout assumptions. A larger top award does not mean a bigger payment on every winning number, and it does not change the number of pockets on the wheel.
For example, a split on 17–20 wins if either number lands. If 17 is a Mega number, the split does not become a multiplied straight-up stake. A separately placed chip on 17 is a different position with a different settlement.

Livedealer.org documents the ordinary rates in its original game review and review of the 3000 version. A maximum final gross award of 3,000x is equivalent to 2,999:1 profit on the winning position, not 3,000:1 profit.
For stake s, profit odds a:1 include the winning stake in the return. A final gross multiple G already includes it.
Gross return at a:1 = s × (a + 1).
Gross return at a final multiple G = s × G.
Do not multiply a displayed final Mega award by the ordinary 29:1 or 19:1 again.
Profit 58; total return 60.

The 100x case is a settlement example, not a forecast. Use the final awarded multiple or credited return shown for the winning position. Mega Dozen versus an ordinary dozen
A normal dozen is one bet covering 12 numbers at 2:1. Pragmatic Play’s Mega Bets feature instead lets you place individual straight-up chips across a selection. The provider’s Mega Bets guide lists Mega Chances, Mega Dozens and Mega Columns as shortcuts for multiple straight-up bets. Dozens and columns each select 12 numbers. Mega Chances is the third shortcut category; check which numbered spots it fills and the resulting total stake. “Group” describes the selected numbers here, not one conventional group position with its own payout ratio.
Compare a 12-unit stake on the first dozen with one unit on each number from 1 through 12. Both cost 12 and cover the same wheel outcomes. Their payouts are different.

The last row includes zero. The 100x row applies to an individual straight-up winner with that final award. A normal dozen still returns 36 on a covered result, even if that result is selected for a Mega multiplier.
Same chance of a hit, different money at risk after the hit
Under a fair single-zero model, both placements hit with probability 12/37 = 32.43%. On an ordinary hit, the original Mega bundle profits 18 and the 3000 bundle profits 8, compared with 24 on the conventional dozen. The opportunity for a larger straight-up award changes the payout distribution.
A one-click button does not imply a one-chip total. With a chip value of 2, a 12-number selection costs 24. An 18-number straight-up selection costs 36. Read the total round stake after using a shortcut; it is the sum of the chips placed, not the label of the button.
The bet placement guide distinguishes group positions from stacks on individual numbers. That distinction matters even when the same winning numbers are covered.
Calculate the whole round, not just the biggest winner
For the same Mega Roulette round layout, place 2 on 17, 1 on 20, 2 on the valid split 17–20 and 5 on black. Total stake is 10. Suppose 17 wins at the ordinary rate. Both 17 and 20 are black, and the split covers the winner.

The only payout difference in this example is the winning straight-up position: 60 versus 40. Subtract the full ten-unit stake from the combined returns, including the lost chip on 20.
If the winning number receives a 100x final gross award
The two-unit straight-up position returns 200. Add 36 from the split and 10 from black: total return 246, net profit 236. This replaces the ordinary straight-up return, so neither 60 nor 40 is added again.
The multi-bet calculator is useful for checking conventional positions and overlaps. Its standard European straight-up payout of 35:1 is not an automatic Mega settlement; use the actual credited amount for an enhanced number.
RTP depends on both the version and the bet type
For the original game, the Livedealer.org review linked with the payout table reports 96.50% for straight-up bets including multipliers. Treat that as a reported figure for the described table and check the current in-game help for the precise value used by your version.
For Mega Roulette 3000, Pragmatic Play publishes 97.50%. The separately linked 3000 review identifies this with straight-up bets and lists conventional rates for the other bets. The provider’s headline should not be applied indiscriminately to every position.
For example, an ordinary dozen covers 12 of 37 outcomes and returns three times the stake when it wins. Its calculated RTP is (12/37) × 3 = 36/37, or 97.30%. The same return follows for the other conventional bets in the payout table, assuming standard full-loss zero settlement.
At a reported 96.50% RTP, the complementary edge is 3.50%.
At 97.50% RTP, the complementary edge is 2.50%.
36/37 return means an exact edge of 1/37, about 2.70%.
Higher RTP can coexist with a lower ordinary payout
RTP averages all outcomes, including feature awards. Compare two hypothetical base-only models: pay 30 gross on every original-game number hit, or 20 on every 3000 hit. These return 30/37 = 81.08% and 20/37 = 54.05%, respectively.
Original uplift = 96.50% − (30/37 × 100%) = 15.42 percentage points.
3000 uplift = 97.50% − (20/37 × 100%) = 43.45 percentage points.
The base-only component assigns the ordinary payout to every hit, including hits that receive a Mega award in the actual game. The difference measures the implied extra return above that baseline; it does not identify the frequency of multipliers or the full contribution of feature-hit payouts. Reported RTP is an input here, not independently proved by subtraction.
That distinction explains how Mega Roulette 3000 can have a lower ordinary payout and a higher stated RTP. The original’s 96.50% straight-up return is below the 97.30% rounded return of its conventional bets; 3000’s 97.50% is slightly above it. This compares long-run expectation, not the chance of winning one spin.
At 1,000 units of expected straight-up turnover, the stated RTP assumptions imply expected losses of 35 for the original and 25 for 3000. Conventional bets at 36/37 return imply about 27.03. These figures compare averages; none describes the guaranteed cost of a particular session.
A mixed bet slip needs a turnover-weighted calculation. For instance, 600 units of expected 3000 straight-up turnover and 400 of conventional turnover give expected loss 600 × 0.025 + 400/37 = 25.81 units, approximately. The combined figure is not obtained by averaging 2.50% and 2.70% without weights.

What are the odds of a Mega hit?
Keep three questions separate: did the wheel land on a number you covered, did that winning position have a Mega award, and how large was that award?
- Wheel hit: n distinct straight-up numbers cover n/37 of a fair single-zero wheel.
- Known overlap: if m of your selected numbers carry Mega awards, your probability of a multiplied hit is m/37, assuming the assignments do not change the wheel outcome.
- Before selection: in a model with k uniformly selected distinct Mega numbers, independent of the wheel, the probability of your multiplied hit is nk/37².
With six covered numbers and three uniformly selected Mega numbers, the last formula gives 18/1369 = 1.31%. If the actual selected set is later known and only one of your numbers overlaps, the corresponding probability is 1/37 = 2.70%. Those statements condition on different information.
Neither “up to five” nor “up to eight” means the maximum count appears every round. Nor does a published multiplier range make its values equally likely. You need their distribution to calculate an unconditional Mega-hit rate or a 3,000x probability.

Covering every number does not guarantee profit
One unit on all 37 numbers costs 37. An ordinary straight-up hit returns 30 in the original, a net loss of 7, or 20 in 3000, a net loss of 17. A covered number must win, but its award still has to exceed the entire slip’s cost for the round to be profitable.
Limits, strategy and recorded results
Check the table’s maximum payout and whether it applies per winning position or per round. A final gross multiplier G on stake s produces sG before a cap. If an illustrative table caps that gross return at 500,000 and no other position pays, the exact stake threshold at 3,000x is 500,000/3,000 = 166⅔. With 0.01 increments, the cap first reduces a payout at 166.67: it would return 500,010 before capping. A stake of 166.66 would return 499,980 and remain below the limit. A stake of 200 would otherwise return 600,000.
If a cap instead covers the combined round return, include all other winning positions before applying it. This example does not assert a universal limit for every 3000 table. The currency, stake increments and cap wording matter. A maximum award expressed as a multiple and a monetary cap are separate constraints.
A staking plan can change the size and timing of your exposure, but not turn a historical hot number into evidence of the next Mega selection. When examining results, keep original Mega and Mega Roulette 3000 records separate, including table identity and timestamps. A feed of multipliers alone cannot show your return unless it also matches your actual stakes and eligibility.

Is Mega Roulette the same as Mega Wheel?
No. Mega Wheel is a separate game-show title. The 37-number layout and payout calculations on this page concern Mega Roulette and Mega Roulette 3000.
Does Mega Dozen give the ordinary 2:1 dozen payout?
No. It places separate straight-up chips. On a one-unit-per-number bundle, only the winning number’s chip returns money; all twelve stakes belong in the round’s cost.
Can a split receive the number’s Mega multiplier?
The enhancement applies to the winning straight-up position. A winning split remains a 17:1 split, even when one of its numbers has a Mega award.
Does 97.50% RTP mean a 97.50% chance to win?
No. RTP is an expected proportion of money returned. A particular straight-up number still covers one of 37 wheel outcomes in the stated fair-wheel model.
