What is Lightning Roulette?
Lightning Roulette is Evolution’s single-zero live roulette variant with an added RNG multiplier stage. After betting closes, one to five Lucky Numbers receive random Lucky Payouts from 50x to 500x. The wheel still determines the winning pocket, and a multiplier is paid only when a Straight Up wager covers a winning number that was selected as Lucky.
The multiplier mechanic changes Straight Up payouts, not the physical one-in-37 chance of a selected number landing. Lightning Roulette payout calculator
Model one round containing equal Straight Up bets. Select how many numbers are covered, the stake per number and whether the winning number missed, paid 29:1 or received a multiplier.
One covered non-Lightning Straight Up bet returns 30 times its individual stake.
A hit can still lose money. With one unit on each of 30 numbers, an ordinary 30x return breaks even. Cover 31–37 numbers and the same hit produces a net loss. At full 37-number coverage, the wheel cannot miss your bets: an ordinary hit returns 30 against 37 staked (net −7), while a 50x hit returns 50 (net +13).
For three numbers at two units each, a 100x hit returns 200 against six staked: net +194 units. The displayed coverage chance is not the probability of a Lightning award or of finishing in profit.

How to play Lightning Roulette
- Players place standard wagers on a single-zero layout.
- Betting closes before the Lucky Numbers are generated.
- The presenter initiates the RNG Lightning phase.
- One to five numbers receive random payouts from 50x to 500x.
- The Auto Roulette wheel determines the physical winning pocket.
- A Straight Up wager receives the multiplier only when its number is both Lucky and the wheel winner.
Other covered wagers settle normally. A Lucky Number does not multiply a split, corner, dozen, color or other non-straight position.
What 50x and 500x mean
Evolution describes Lightning awards as gross multipliers. A 50x result returns fifty units for each unit placed on that winning straight. Net profit is 49:1 because the return includes the original stake.
The same conversion applies at the top of the range: 500x gross is 499:1 net. This is why the rules list Straight Up as 29–499:1 while the product page advertises 50x–500x Lucky Payouts.

Why 29:1 does not mean 81.08% overall RTP
If every straight winner paid only 29:1, a one-unit wager would return 30/37, or 81.08%, before considering the Lucky Payout feature. That is not the complete game.
Lightning wins add the missing expected value. The published combined Straight Up RTP is 97.10%, incorporating ordinary wins, multiplied wins and losses.
The cited rules do not reveal the probability of each multiplier tier, so the exact 97.10% cannot be independently reconstructed without additional distribution data. The model uses 97.10% as published and 36/37 for standard non-straight wagers, whose displayed 97.30% is rounded.
What the published RTP implies
A one-number straight wins the wheel with probability 1/37. Using the published, rounded RTP figure of 97.10% implies an average gross payout of 35.927x conditional on the selected number being the wheel winner, after averaging ordinary and Lightning hits.
This is close to the 36x gross payout of a standard European straight, but slightly lower. The difference corresponds to a 2.90% edge instead of 2.70%.

Both games use a 37-pocket single-zero wheel. Splits, streets, corners, lines, columns, dozens and even-money bets use the same payouts and 97.30% theoretical RTP.
The difference is confined to Straight Up wagers. Standard European roulette pays every straight winner 35:1. Lightning Roulette pays 29:1 when the winning number is not enhanced and a larger gross multiplier when it is.
Volatility and bet selection
The mechanic shifts part of the straight-bet return away from ordinary wins and into rarer larger payouts. This increases outcome dispersion even though the published straight RTP remains close to standard roulette.
Covering more straight numbers increases the chance that the wheel result is among them, but also multiplies the total round stake. It does not remove the 2.90% expected cost applied to straight-bet action.
Can a staking strategy change the RTP?
No staking pattern changes the published return attached to the underlying wager. Martingale, Fibonacci and other progressions change exposure and session variance, not the Lightning RNG or wheel probability.
Using only non-straight bets keeps the 97.30% standard-bet RTP but makes the wager ineligible for multipliers. Straight bets accept about a 0.20 percentage-point lower return in exchange for the multiplier distribution.
Multipliers increase the largest possible straight return, not the probability that a selected number wins the physical wheel. A fixed number still occupies one pocket out of 37.
